One of the best things you can do as an online writer, is to get published one way or another. With technology on the rise, a lot of stories are now being published for online consumers.

Not every online writer wants to be published, but it’s often the end goal for many of them. It’s a great goal too. Being able to get your work published is a really rewarding experience, that many online writers crave. But it’s not always easy to do. Especially if you’re new to writing.

It’s probably not a good idea to try to publish your work right from the beginning. If you’ve never posted your work on a writing, it’s not the best idea to go and publish it for money. First of all, you probably won’t know what to expect when it comes to reviews and people who don’t take a liking to your work.

Not everyone is going to like your work, and sometimes that’s the hardest concept to understand sometimes. There are going to be some people who hate your work and you will need to find a way to overcome the hate and keep going. That’s not easy to do if you don’t have the experience of a writing site and the way things are done there.

There are some really good sites for new writers to work on. They are run by other writers, to help you get used to the process of writing and receiving feedback as well as critique on your work. These sites are best to start with when you’re not quite sure if you’re happy with your own writer. You will be able to allow other writers and readers to read your work and help you make it better.

These sites are great help to you when you’re a beginner writer. The best help you can get can come from other writers, and readers who enjoy reading fiction from amateur writers. This doesn’t mean that you have to stay on these sites forever, but they are always great to start with before you actually attempt to publish your work for compensation.

After some time, you will know when you’re ready to be published. You may hit a plateau in feedback and know that it’s time for something bigger for you. This is the time when you go and try to accomplish what you have been wanting from the beginning. But be warned, getting published is a journey in itself. It can be a long and sometimes disappointing journey.

You can start off with self-publishing in places like Amazon or other sites that may allow you to do that. With that, you will only be able to reach a small number of people who may actually want to read it. Unless you have a big following beforehand, you may not get the recognition you expect. That can be very disappointing, if you were expecting lots of recognition.

Another way of getting published, is by sending off your story to a publisher. This can be a very long process, but the end result may be just what you’re looking for. But you will have to go through countless publishers before you get accepted, if you’re lucky, you can get accepted from the beginning. For someone who has not been published before, it will be hard to find a publisher willing to take on your story.

If they like your story, you will have to be on a strict writing schedule which may not work if writing is only your secondary hobby. They might want more writing from you, and that would take up a lot more time then you may be used to. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get published, but you need to know about the downsides to being published. Author Phil Cooke talks about the ugly side of getting published.

Another point to keep in mind, is the fact that paper book sales are declining with the creation of new technology. Many people stick to online books or kindle books. So when you do decide to get published, you need to remember that publishing and books have changed which means your readers may change too. If you’re willing to overcome all the negative points about being published, then you are ready to do it.
